  • Can anyone Identify this

I got this from a guy whose dad worked for the air force for many years, and his dad took this when he left. Don't know a whole lot about it. It appears that the top of the blade has brass edge? The bottom collar where it would bolt to another prop, appears to be steel? It has several sets of numbers stamped on the caller and on the inside of the prop. Please see pictures. The whole thing weighs about 31 pounds It's is roughly. Forty seven inches tall.
I'm guessing it's from world war two, and it could have come off of a bomber with three props bolted to a center hub ?
Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help

Your assumptions are pretty much correct, as far as I know. It's a variable pitch design with a central hub that could hold 2 or 3 blades (and sometimes 4 blades).

The expert on those is Monte Chase whose web site is notplanejane.com. He has a huge collection of these and can often make sense of the stamped information.
