  • Question about propeller

I just picked up this propeller. It's about 9.5ft long. I was told it was found in an old textile warehouse. Why would it have no bolt holes? Is it fake or possibly unfinished? Thanks for any response.

I don't think it's "fake" but suspect that it's just "unfinished". Hub drilling was typically a late step in production and some propellers failed inspections during the manufacturing steps. Those blanks were often kept by factory workers. The propeller resembles many of the German propellers, but without stamped information it's impossible to identify. (Some German props also used a "Rupp" fastener, which would have hub drilling only on the rear of the hub, but those would be clearly visible if present.)

Thank you so much. I'll try to get a pic of the back of it posted
