Bristol Scout

I am trying to find out some background to the Bristol Scout propeller that we have.
Written around the circular centre piece is B & C 4371 P 3001 9 0 HP LE RHONE SCOUT

B&C presumably means "British & Colonial Aeroplane Company", the early name for the Bristol Aeroplane Company. See the markings on this Bristol F2B prop for comparison:

Wikipedia suggests it was probably used on a Scout C based on the engine.

i have a vague recollection that I had discovered somewhere from the serial number that it had been used as a trainer and so didn’t see active combat - would that have been a 2 seater then?

There was a two seat version of the scout, but very few were built. If you can link it definitively to that variant then you might be able to work out the individual aircraft it was installed on.
