Help Needed; Early Generator Propeller?

I purchased the propeller in the attached photo recently. It is approximately 13 inches long, and the blades have a maximum width of 2 1/8 inches. There are no visible markings. I would appreciate any insight regarding its identity, assumed use, and approximate age. Thank you

I think your assumption is correct in that it is some kind of passive propeller used to drive a generator or a pump or some similar device, probably WW1 era or a bit later. I think it's unlikely that it can be identified beyond that, however.
