Can someone help identify a prop

I found a 11 ft 11inch wooden laminated prop with metal edge’s. The only marking on the prop is 40 x 12. I take that to be the pitch and length. The prop is not a scimitar
design so I’m thinking after WW1. I have been unable to find any early aircraft that swings a prop this size. Any thoughts on what aircraft these big clubs were used on. Airships possibly??

It might not be an aircraft propeller. What does the hub look like?

I'm not sure how 40 x 12 would translate to nearly 12 feet in length.

Identify prop

40 is the pitch and the 12 is the length in feet. I’ll try and post some pics this weekend.
