Seeking details about wood propeller

Good Morning :

This propeller has been behind my fathers bar for the past 40 years and a number of stories have been fabricated but was hoping to get some clarity as to it's origin. It's 8' in length and has a single keyhole through the top and bottom of the hub as shown in pic. Other props have the standard 6 and 8 holes through the side hub ? Looks to have 5 maybe 6 pieces laminated .

Other stamps include : 2 over D5000, 1 over P1349 over 8' X 5'3" , 27 53 and X 163.

I believe it was manufactured by the American Propeller Manufacturing Company ("P" was often used for Paragon) and was possibly built on an experimental basis (the "X" was often used to designate that) and was likely rejected during manufacture, so it never got the bolt holes drilled or the decals applied.

There is very little wear on the leading copper leading edges probably due to transport and the hub is clean.

Makes sense .
