  • 4 bladed wooden propeller ID

29 (F) Sqn has a wooden propeller that had 4 blades (sadly now only one). Please see photos as we are trying to identify it! The measurements are; 9 foot diameter, 8 bolt holes, 4 7/8 inch between bolt centres, 3/8 inch bolt size and the hub is 4 1/4 inches thick, the centre hole is 2 inches. Basic research indicates that it could belong to an FE8, BE2c or a DH2 which would fit with types flown by the Sqn. However, on one side of the hub we have 'RAF', T1, 2, and a small 2 stamped into the wood. I am suspicious that these may be later additions. On the opposite side of the hub is a small parallelogram that has the faint digits '5XMS' in it (or 5WXS read the other way. I hope to attach photos and any info would be appreciated.
