SE5 a prop

I have just acquired an SE5 a propeller hub. It apparently spent some time in an RAF mess in Germany (word of mouth info) and has been hacked about a bit in order to fit a clock. The following marks are stamped on the hub.

AB7673 RH
G 958....this bit cut for clock
D 24 .....this bit cut for clock
P 1710

On the other side

WOLSELY VIPER
SE 5180 HP
1800 REVS

Also there is a small square stamped with 4 boxes marked

AID AID
7T8 7T8
AID AID
7T8 7T8

I'm not sure what this small stamp indicates. Can anyone enlighten me ??

AB7673 RH [COLOR="Red"] This is the drawing number issued c1917 for the prop for a variety of SE5 and SE5A aircraft.

G 958....this bit cut for clock This is the batch number. There were 100 props per batch. It dates to mid-1918
D 24 .....this bit cut for clock This is the diameter in mm, 2414mm
P 1710 And this is the pitch 2414mm
Wolseley Viper Refers to the engine, of 180hp. It was a Hispano-Suiza engine redesigned by Wolseley.
1800 revs is the rev limit.
AID is in effect an airworthiness stamp. It shows that the work on making the prop was examined by an inspector four times during its construction.
