      Hello Geert,

Good to hear from you again.

I appear to have missed your post above, for which I apologise. I was in hospital and recuperating around that time.

      Your data translate as;
(I know you understand this as well as I do but this note is also for fellow forumites who might be less well versed in our subject. )

Garuda Propeller The German propeller maker
Mercedes 160ps The aircraft engine of about 160hp
D278 The diameter of the prop in cm
St197 The pitch of the prop
Blattbr 025 or 028 The blade width (only Garuda added this measurement to the hub data)

What airplane type could it be?
I have recorded eighteen Garuda props for the Mercedes 160ps of which I can identify six to a known type of aircraft, all of which were Albatros types.
The prop with dimensions nearest to yours with D2750 and St1970 was fitted to an Alb D.V (This data came from Koloman Meyrhofer, the Austrian restorer and builder of German WW1 aircraft). A prop with D2740 and St 2000 was fitted to an Alb D.II brought down by the British late in 2016.)

      With kind regards,

      Bob

        Hello Bob,
Hope your health is ok by now.
Thank you very much for the reply!
So it’s most likely from an albatros dv.
        Great to hear that.
        Greetings,
        Geert
