  • Strange propellor

    Hi,

Please help me to identify this propellor.

I did notice it is a german made according to the stamp 'P.S. 140' (meaning Pferde stärke = 140 horse power).

I came from someone who claimed it was from the Messerschmitt automobile factory in germany (the little 3 wheel type car).

Thank you for looking a I hope to solve this.

    Kind regards,
    Dirk

Might be hard to identify with any accuracy. What is the length from tip to tip?

Observations - it has been mounted for use, it looks like it's in original condition, and it's a left hand thread, which implies but doesn't prove that it was used as a pusher.

I'm always suspicious of claims that travel with these props, but depending on its length, it might have been used in some kind of airboat, snow sled or non-aviation application.

        Hi,

Today I was able to measure the length of the propellor. Whole tip to tip length is 231cm.
        I hope this helps.

        Thanks in advance,

        Dirk
