It's been in the family for some time and I'm trying to get any information possible (aircraft it was for,years,is it rare, etc) 100" x 12"

These props are fairly common, for whatever reason. It's actually half of a stacked 4-blade combination and was designed to be used on a Liberty engine powered HS-2L.

Most of them were never mounted and ended up being sold off as surplus. I have seen one matching pair (consecutive serial numbers) that sadly was split up in a sale.

The "S.E." in the drawing number stands for "Steam Engineering", which was the Navy department that was responsible for procuring propellers for their flying boats.

The "34 x 6 6.5" is actually 8'4" x 6'6.5", which is the length of the propeller followed by the pitch.
