To put on a toy wind mill? This propeller is about five inches long and needs to be very nearly precision balanced. I have carved it from red cedar and intend to coat it with some kind of wood preservative before erecting it.
Early wooden propellers were balanced very simply by having the center of the inner bore supported by a knife edge and varnish added to the heavier side, then the process repeated as needed when the varnish dried.
