Anyone know the airplane this came off of?

Nickel Plated hub
6 Holes
Weighs 10lbs
Center Hole 2 1/4 Inches
Bolts were cut so hub could fit as a display on another wooden propeller.
Bolts holes are 2 3/4 inches apart and 5 1/2 inches from bolt hole to bolt hole across from each other.

IMHO, largely too heavy for an a/c part.

Agree. The cap nut is not something standard on aircraft, and a normal hub assembly would have 2 plates, one front and one rear, with a splined or keyed hub connecting them.

I agree the backplate is probably missing but this was def off an airplane. An airplane from the early 1900's as it was found along with many original Curtiss Jenny 1918 pieces. Thanks for the continued help.

"Most" of the hubs from that era, including the JN4, had 8 bolt holes.
