I have recently acquired a beautiful Starr propeller.
I would appreciate some help learning about it's history. Age/where it might have come from etc. and possibly what A/C type it might have been used on.
I will post a few pictures of it that I hope will provide some clues.
The first picture is of what I believe are the identifying markings as they appear on the hub. One interesting thing I note is that the Signal Corps numbers, [30685 I think], looks to have been stamped overtop of a previous engraving. Does anyone have an idea why this might have been done?
Any help would be much appreciated.
