The story from the props seller is that it came from the airfield of Gistel in Flanders Belgium. So if anyone knows more about the types of airplanes that are used on that airfield please let me know.
      Greetings

As you can see it's from a crash.

          Geerste,

          The prop is from a BI or D1 aircraft (and their derivatives such as BII, BIII etc). Examples are;

          Alb BI, BII
          Halb D2
          LVG BIII

Z probably indicates ZUG, meaning a tractor prop but might also be part of 6 ZYL to differentiate the prop from one intended for the contemporary four cylinder Mercedes engine.

          With kind regards,

          Bob

            Prop

            Thanks for the info!
That explains where it was found (Gistel)
There was the BAO that uses B-type aircraft during 1915.
            Brieftaubenabteilung Oostende.
Can it be a Reschke propeller?
            Greetings,
            Geert

Does the serial number match with 1915 if it's a Reschke prop?

                Geerste,

The 100ps Merc engine was also used with the Tauben. I don't think I have recorded one with the 120ps engine, but of course it is very likely that it was.

Reschke is my guess too, for the maker.

                  Prop

It's a pity that it's broken, but it then has a history since it came from a crash or belly landing. Also it stayed in the neighbourhood of the airfield of Gistel. Not thrown away or burned as firewood or cut in halve. It's untouched and as found.
                  Thx Bob for the info!
Looking forward for your next book!
                  Thx
