WWI Propeller ??

Hello

I have this piece of a shattered wooden propeller that I cannot identify. It had a tag on it saying it was off a WWI Zeppelin shot at in Dover. Frankly, the design looks a bit newer than that.

There is some grey paint behind the metal covering.

Definitely smashed up but doesn't look like a ground strike to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could be almost anything. Trying to identify unmarked pieces of propellers can be a daunting task, and I'm always skeptical of the stories attached to items like this.
