  • 43 inch propeller

my work colleague has recently purchased a 43 inch long wooden propeller and as he doe's not use the internet has asked me to make this inquiry.
The blades have no apparent markings and the boss has 8 holes. I am going to try to attach photo for you to see if you can throw any light on this propeller.

It looks to be of British manufacture. It's unusual. I don't believe it is an auxiliary propeller (used to generate electricity or to pump oil or fuel). My thought is that it might be an original propeller, once typically six to seven feet long, which was damaged and then carved to this size as a memento or souvenir. Are there any letters or numbers stamped on or around the hub?

    With kind regards,
