  • I bought a prop, help..

    Hello,
I'm new here. Yesterday I bought my first prop.
I wanted to have something in my living room, nothing ordinary.
Now I found out that there is a whole world out there that is interested in propellers.
I'm a bit curious with the history behind my prop.
I know it is a prop from Hugo Heine.
The most similar prop that I found is from a Fokker DVII.
But the bolt holes are not visible at my prop on the front.

    Can anyone help me?

Greetings Frank and welcome to the forum.

Your prop dates from around 1930 and was made in Berlin by Hugo Heine. It can be dated from the serial number. It was made for a civil aircraft rather than a military plane. The engine was made by BMW.

    With kind regards,

      Hi Bob,
I think the serialnumber is: 49581
Is possible to find out what kind of aircraft it was mounted on?

        Hello Frank,

Do you have new info regarding your prop?

I also have a HEINE prop, looks similar to yours.

Has your prop also 290 cm diameter?

        Best regards
        Tobi
