Dear friends,
First of all ,sorry if my english is not perfect.
I own a propeller carved and modified as a mentel clock. I presume it comes from a SOPWITH WW1 plane but would like to know exactly wich model of plane.
I searched on the internet with the numbers I can read ,but failed to identify the type of plane
The varnish is very old and hide some of the numbers but I can read:
G96 N4
AD644 - RH
130 - CLERGET
I attach some pictures .
I suppose that the clock (from the famous manufacturer SMITHS) comes also from an airplane of the same time but I cannot go farer for identification ... perhaps some one have an idea ??
Thanks in advance for your help.
Herve
