Can anyone offer any info on this?
I have a 3-bladed wooden prop about 90 cm in radius (roughly 6 ft diameter). There are no decals or other ids, and no metal whatsoever. At the hub, which has 8 bolt holes, each of the 3 blades is joined to the others--thick-wise--through 5 interleaving dovetails (10 total interleaving at each joint). All surfaces show evidence of hand finishing.
It was bought in Baton Rouge about 10 years ago by a Cajun lady who passed it on to me. She apparently bought it at an auction that was represented to her as the contents of a container that arrived in Baton Rouge from France.
Any ideas?
