  • Prop identification

This l'il bit o' helical heaven is 37" tip to tip, 1.5" thick and is made of 11 plies of mahogany and a lighter hardwood, possibly maple. There is a 1/4" diameter center hole. There are no letter/number markings of any kind, nor are there any decals. The overall condition is excellent.

I'd like to know this gem's origin and value. Thanks, all you prop mavens.

I think that's too short for an aircraft prop. 1/4"inch center hole is too small too. Can you post pictures? Maybe it's a generator prop.

      Prop identification

      Hello,

Thanks for the zippy reply. Except for a difference in length, my prop appears identical in material and scimitar design to a recently completed eBay auction
      #280886510178.

If the above reference seems presumptuous, I'll certainly understand if your sleuthing needs to remain within the forum confines.

      Sincerely,

It looks like a reproduction model and not an actual aircraft propeller. The final bid price on the one on eBay of $36 is about right, I think.
