Hi, I thought I would share two recent discoveries in the Library of Congress digitized newspaper collection. I suspect that much more information relevant to antique propellers (particularly about American propeller companies) can be easily researched here.

One is an advertisement in the January 23, 1910 Los Angeles Herald. In the middle of the page. It says:

FARMAN AND BLERIOT AEROPLANES

The other is a clip about Bleriot's activities in the October 29, 1911 Washington Herald. It says:
M. Bleriot has built a new speed type of monoplane which Leblanc tried out at Hardebot recently and was unofficially timed to make 130 K. P. H. about eighty-one miles per hour. At this rate the Nieuport firm had best look to its laurale in future races.
M. Bleriot himself has been flying his new "Canard " tail first type monoplane at Hardebot. This and his new racer were built on his recent "holiday."
There is news from the "Wrights" camp In North Carolina that they have constructed a machine that will soar like a bird without power How much of this is publicity work and how much real news will only be known when the Wrights speak. "If this be true." says the London "Flight," "won't poor Lucien Chauviere look glum?" Chauviere is the foremost French propeller maker.
