Grand Dad used to tell me this came off of Lincoln Beachey's Curtiss Jenny Pusher that crashed in to the Susquehanna river. Grand Dad also was a great BS'er.
I guess I've been hauling it around now for 35 years.
Lousy weather and small rooms make for crappy pictures, sorry.
It's about 8 foot 8 inches in length.
4 bolts on a 3 X 3/4" diagonal.
1 1/8" Shaft hole
Any help with identification and value would be very much appreciated. I might also add that the idea of this piece of lumber spinning and propelling flight....pretty mind boggling!!!
Thanks,
Frank
Thanks Again!
