help identify propeller

i have a propeller i am trying to find out about. the markings on it are S.C.12878
8'3 X 5.00 RIGHT HAND. it has a 8 bolt pattern. it also has two clover leafs one has no numbers that i can read the other i can make out a u and a 76 cant read the other two petals. the hub is attached with all the bolts. it is mahogany wood with brass tips. would like any information anyone can give me on this.

There are LOTS of possibilities and not enough information to narrow it down much, other than to point out that the numbers show the size and pitch and "S.C." is a Signal Corps number.

A picture would help, possibly, but what you've described could have been used on a variety of different aircraft.
