    Drew,

The drawing number T6296 is a Royal Aircraft Factory number, dating from 1916-1918. M1 after the number indicates that it was the first modification (1) to the modified (M) T6296 prop. It was used on a variety of aircraft such as the BE12 and BE12A, RE7, RE8 and RE8A, but the M1 modification was only used on the RE8 and BE12 as stated on your prop. The data LH 12 CYL 140 HP RAF indicates the 140hp left hand rotation engine designed by the Royal Aircraft Factory (RAF)

    With kind regards,

    Bob

PS; Please tell me for my database if there are any small squares on the hub or your prop with AID in them and a number; and if either prop has a G number and a N number.
