Hello,
A relative of mine has found this old wooden propeller in his grandfather's farm near Madrid, Spain. It is 2.9 metres long, marked "N178" (maybe N means serial number)and "CV156" (CV is the Spanish acronim for horsespower) in the hub.
The manufacturer was Amalio Diaz in Getafe, south of Madrid, who manufactured props until the Spanish Civil War, mainly for French-origin aircraft used by the Spanish air force.
A Caudron G.III photograph found at the same place could bee a clue, but this propeller seems to large for this aircraft, and seems like the spanish Air Force G.III uses a Gnome 80CV engine
Any info regarding the aircraft or engine we'll be welcomed.
Thanks in advance,
Angel
Please excuse my poor English!
