  • Help in identification - Siemens prop

I received a broken wooden prop from a friend in Germany. Clearly broken by impact. According to him, he was not sure where the prop came from but the gent who gave it to him stated it could be from an airship.

    The markings are:
    80 PS
    Siemens
    D 230
    ST 160
    I (or 1) 19802
    Y or I

I would appreciate any help in identification.

    thank you

I think a friend of yours has also asked about this prop. Please look at the Siemens thread just below yours in the index. It provides an answer. The prop is not from an airship but from a slow early aircraft such as a Taube

    Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
