My Grandfather left my 10 yr old son this propeller that he brought back from the Philippines. He had believed it was made before WWI. My son and I would love to know as much info. as possible, like what kind of plane it was used on, etc. The model # 43K10107, Serial No. AF43A6869, there is a patent stamped on it and also the Sensenich Bros. Lititz, PA with wings logo on both ends. There is metal on the ends although it looks like someone may have cut the tips off (maybe for safety reasons when transporting?) Thank you.

As per http://www.modernwoodenpropellers.co...h_military.htm that military contract number translates to Sensenich design numbers 72C-42 or 72C-44 which you can look up at http://www.modernwoodenpropellers.com/sensenich.htm for actual usage.
