I have a wooden propeller that I am trying to find more info on. The propeller stickers indicate it was manufactured by Universal Propellers (Universal Aircraft Supply Co.) in St. Louis.
One side of the hub is marked:
UNIVERSAL A. S. CO.
ST. LOUIS. MO.
NO. 425.
The other side of the hub is marked
DES. NO. U86.
A.T.C. NO. 443
The hub dimensions are consistent with a Curtis OX-5 motor (4" thick; 5 1/4" bolt circle with 8 bolt holes; center bore slightly less than 2.75").
I have been unable to find anything about Universal Propellers; the approximate date of manufacture, the aircraft that it was used on, or any other info. I would appreciate any info on this propeller that you can provide.
Thanks in advance.
