Hi, I would like to learn anything I can about an old wooden prop that looks like it was made from a 2 x 6 that is 10 feet long. It has cooper on the leading edges and a two bold configuration with holes that are 6" apart. The center hole is 1 3/8". Does anyone have any information regarding a prop like this?

    Thanks, Rick

It's very typical of a wind generator prop, but that style was also commonly used as "fogger" in a vineyard, i.e. used as a fan to keep grapes from freezing.

I see, thank you for the information. I don't know any background information on it but my grand parents were farmers in Kansas. No grape growing there but I would wonder if they didn't have a wind generator. Other people in that era certainly did.

      Thanks!
