Wooden prop I.d please

Hi, I picked up this rather butchered but impressively large half prop recently, and it has been helpfully suggested that it is from a Bristol aero engine, maybe a Jupiter.

It would of had ten fixing holes and the centre hole would of been around 3.5 inches in diameter when complete. There aren't any apparent markings.

I would appreciate the thoughts of the experts on this forum. Thanks.

I think it's practically impossible to identify it from such scant information. Even with a drawing number stamped on the hub it can be difficult. There were literally hundreds and hundreds of different models with many different shapes, diameters, and pitches. The ten hole hub eliminates a number of engine possibilities, but doesn't help a bit with the aircraft it might have been mounted on.

It's more the engine type it would of been attached to that I was hoping to clarify, anything after that would be a bonus!

Yeah, there aren't a lot of 10 hole hubs, but I'm not sure that anyone has a list of which engines those are, unfortunately.
