Hanging a Prop on the wall

Might be a weird question but is there any superstition about mounting a prop vertically as opposed to horizontally? I'm just thinking about a horse shoe and don't want to do anything wrong.

Not that I know of, and I've done both, but the options for mounting one vertically are usually limited anyway.
