My Grandfather's wooden propeller

My grandfather was seconded from the artillery into the Royal flying Corp then stayed on in the RAF. He knew T E Lawrence in Mesopotamia (and later in Uxbridge, UK). He was posted to Malta, Egypt, Palistine and other camps including Bently Priory. We have had this propeller in our family since the 1920s. Can anyone help identify it for us and give advice on how we should care for it?

There should be drawing numbers stamped on it. They are essential for positive identification, although even then it's not always easy.

You should also remove the metal plate on it and see if the hub is intact or has been altered in the past.

OMG a prop from 20s! That's a real treasure, take care of it! You are lucky to have it in your family, I'm sure there are a lot of folks who'd pay big money to buy it.
