Expired TC

If a propeller's type certificate has expired and a particular propeller of that TC was manufactured prior to that date, can the propeller be used on type certificated aircraft?

Good question, and one I would defer to a certified mechanic, but I suspect that if it was manufactured after the TC expiration date that it's legal to use. The notes in an FAA publication I have is worded, "No propeller manufactured after the date specified below is eligible for use on certificated aircraft:"
