Some older propellers were covered in thin canvas of some sort. What would be an equivalent today? I am restoring an old prop and would be very grateful for some ideas

Some of the earlier props were actually covered in pigskin, like this one. I think if you were trying to reproduce the look of WW1 era props that plain linen would work fine. I used that once on a prop that had already suffered a brutal attempt at "restoration" and it turned out quite well. Most Sensenich props used linen and then painted it an olive green color.
