Gremont propeller from Caudron G-3. Original varnish with two decals. Marked: Serie-GP n1823 n10006 Cau G3 Rh-80 Hub hole 60mm,Bolt pitch 120mm, hub thickness 100mm, long 102.38 inches 260cm,Walnut, bare leading edge,two hub holes bored larger most of the way through, scratches & bruises, varnish flaked on rear near tips. $3500 oboDSCF0007.jpg

Could you post a close up of the stamps and digits of the flat side of the hub and one of of the more legible round stamp at the blade foot?

Hi,
Thank you for the pics. The round stamps at blade feet read:
- outside circle: HELICE GREMONT RUE ST CHARLES
- inside: LYON
It is the addresse of the factory after Gremont went from Paris to Lyon in 1918.
The prop has been made there but there is not enough data about Grémont props to give a precise date of making.
Attached pic: same stamp on a serial S n°9864 which has kept its original brown-red varnish.
