  • Please Help me with U.S. Propeller 22008

Looking for information on a 44-inch wooden U.S. Propeller 22008, Serial AL579, USP 5 (encircled). I know that this is a UAV propeller, and it has the characteristic red wing tips. Can anyone tell me:

    1. When the propeller was manufactured?
    2. What type of unmanned aerial vehicle the prop was designed for?
    3. What "USP 5" signifies.
    4. What price I should ask for it, if I want to sell the propeller. It's in
    excellent condition.

I'm new to the forum, and would appreciate any help I can get. Thank-you!

All I know is that it's a very commonly found UAV prop, and the "USP5" probably stands for "U.S. Propellers", the manufacturer.

So far, no one seems to have been able to identify a specific model drone that used it.

As for price, I've seen asking prices insanely high (e.g. $1000) on eBay, but most of the time they seem to sell for something in the $200 range, but there is a lot of variability.

I guess you know by now these props came off of Northrop kd2r5 shellduck drones. First produced late 40's into the 70's.
