  • Prop Identification and age

I have a single blade (cut off) from an old propellor. It has the decal for the Matthews Bros Mfg Co, Milwalkee Wis USA on it with Hamilton written across it. It is about 35 " to the cut and about 8 3/8" across the color change. It was in my fathers garage as long as I can remember. Can you tell me what era this is from and what plane it may have come off of?
    It can be seen at

    Thanks

It's probably not identifiable. MAtthews Bros. built so many different propellers that the only way you might even narrow it down would be to compare it to existing models, and even then it might not positively identify it.
