Hi. Some time ago you helped me to identify my propeller.
I am changing my home/contents insurance and would like to get some rough estimate of the value of the thing. Can anyone help me out?

For insurance purposes I would value it at around $1500, even though you likely would get a little more than that on something like eBay or with the right kind of outright sale. I'd make sure that the insurance company acknowledges that they would pay that in the event of a loss, however. It certainly is one of the earlier Flottorp props.

Thanks much. I have been forced to think about what I would grab if there was a fire...and the propeller is higher on the list than my wife would believe...or the value would justify. I would sorely miss it if it were gone.
