  • Please help identify my Christmas gift!

Hi, For Christmas my Mom and Dad gave me an old wooden prop that belonged to my Grandfather. He owned an airfield and a small airline in the 1920's. This prop came off of one of his planes but that is all we know. The wood is stamped Chase S Story Co, Glendale, CA. The numbers on it are -o1184 and DN 830. I would love to find out more information about it and about what kind of plane it may have been on. Its 92 inches long. Thank you for your help. Let me know what other info might help and I will send it along. Thank you in advance for you help.

    HI,

Thank you for your e-mail. Might you be able to send us a photograph of the complete prop and also a close up of the hub?

    With regards,

Sure I can send a photo. Unfortunately, my husband has our camera and he is away until the 2nd. If I can manage to borrow a camera I will send some sooner otherwise I will send a photo on the 1/2/2008. Thanks very much! Happy New Year.
