  • Help Identifying Sensenich Model 85LY-57

I just purchased this prop on Ebay. The hub markings are MODEL 85LY-57 ~ SER B-1010 ~ HP 185 ~ RPM 2550 ~ SENSENICH. Can anyone tell me the years and types of aircraft that used this propeller. It has Latitz decals. Thanks for any help.

    Stinson L 5

    Prop 85LY-57
    Aircraft Stinson L 5 (Y HUB)
    Engine Lycoming O 435 1/190

This is under the Sensenich section of this website.

I just purchased a prop off a Stinson 10A, I think but I am not sure the L 5 is the military version of the 10A. I think most of these planes where made in the 40's.

This website has some pictures of the Stinson L5.

ehehehe I was dealing with the owner for the shipping solution and you bought it before
I think you got a really nice exemplar with a beautiful age patina! I'd like to see some pics once you get it if you don't mind

      Cheers!
