    Further to my early post in the first thread I have seen this morning another hub made into a clock case this one is stamped on the side with the bolt holes in ... sorry not photo as yet
    The chap who has it has a few RFC photos and actually nice group photo of Central Flying School second course 1913 .. With amongst others a Major Trenchard DSO ...
    The numbers etc of this one

    90 HP Renault
    LP 790
    BE 2C

    It also has some markings inside a rectangle. AID 125. 1870? With what looks to be part of a war department arrow
    Had a look through the photo gallery but could not see any similar markings

    It's clearly stamped for a BE 2C using a Renault engine, although the listing I have shows 80hp instead of 90hp. It's a Lang Propeller drawing and was a 4-blade design, also used on a DH6. Original diameter was 2616mm.

    The AID stamping is an inspection stamp.
