Hi,

A friend of mine gave me an old propeller he got at DAKAR (Senegal) before two Stampe ? (not sure) given by French government were dismantled.
This propeller is AIRSCREW DRG/Z 6013/2
D667.P4.57
88880
I would like to know on which model of Stampe (If these aircrafts were some Stampe....and if Stampe, probably with Gipsy engines) and try to retrieve the aircraft registrations.
I've some pictures but do'nt understand how to insert in messages.

Thanks for help.

The world of those interested in wooden propellers is small and I have already been asked this question, perhaps by Pierre-Michel Decombeix who you may have approached. There is no information in my lists about this drg number.

The drawing number Z 6013/2 is from the Airscrew Company of Great Britain and the numbers D6.67 and P4.57 indicate the diameter and pitch in feet. The number 88880 is a serial number. But unusually the drg number is not attributed to an aircraft type or an engine type.

Z.6013 is listed for a Cirrus Major III engine, but no aircraft type. Slight modifications to a drawing number were indicated by a number; thus Z.6013/2 is the second slight variation on the design 6013. So, we can assume that 6013/2 was also for a Cirrus Major III engine.

One example of a prop with drg no, Z.6013 is recorded with a serial number 85192, some 3688 units behind your example.

With kind regards,

Bob
