Hi, I have been emptying my late fathers shed and come accross this propeller hub, I rember him buying it in Middlesbrough UK in the late 1970's.

The prop has the following info:

G Betjemann and Sons
DG P43
80 Le Rhone
D102.375
P 92.2
B8 696

Sadly at some point in it's life someone has put feet on the side with the makers markings. Any information would be greatfully received, I guess the feet have reduced it's value.

Regards Hal

It was designed to be used on an AVRO 504K or what's listed as an "SB3D", although I don't know what that is, and I think that the AVRO is much more likely.

P.S.

I see that the SB3D evidently refers to "Sopwith - Beardmore (https://books.google.com/books?id=Kl-PAwAAQBAJ&pg=PT123&lpg=PT123&dq=SB3D+aircraft+sopwith+beardmore&source=bl&ots=W9ObgTYVP0&sig=_tXlCqBmOSRYn2l5AuUrbk0w89I&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CDcQ6AEwBGoVChMI5raChb-ayAIVzQOSCh3GBw-p#v=onepage&q=SB3D%20aircraft%20sopwith%20beardmore&f=false)".

Many thanks for the information, not sure what to do with it, such a shame the feet were fitted to it.
