I was curious if anyone can confirm if this propeller is from a Curtiss Jenny and perhaps which type. There is a Canadian Aeroplanes Ltd War Munitions sticker on it. That limits it to a few planes I think.
It is 99 long (has damaged end could be 100), has 8 Holes and # 2482 stamped in it.
I was told it was from a Jenny that was damaged by my grandmothers relative, it was his plane) I am the third or fourth to be storing it for 20 plus years.
Everything seems to line up with the chart below except the hub is wood and larger.

Curtiss OX5 Engine seems to fit?
HUB THICKNESS 4
HUB (METAL) DIAMETER 6 (mine is 7 wood)
CENTER BORE 2.690
BOLT SIZE .375
BOLT CIRCLE 5.250
8 Holes

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Garth

My guess is that it's highly probable but not certain, as propellers were typically engine specific and often not labeled for the aircraft using that engine. There was often variation in the actual width of the hub and the 6" measurement refers to the metal hub. You may see a 6 inch "witness mark" on the hub, which reflects the diameter of the metal plate on the hub.
