View Full Version : Is our propeller authentic?

My boyfriend came across a wood propeller. We are trying to determine if it's worth any money. It says especially made for piper sensenich aircraft propellers on each wing in a logo. On the front in the center around the hole it has a 1 on the left, a 2 on the right and 8710 above. It says Paul Westfall underneath but that may be in pencil. The model 73FM52 and serial no R8710. Can you let me know please? It's got the brass leading edges. Thanks a bunch.

Probably perfectly authentic, although a picture of it would help. Although the specific model number doesn't appear on this list (http://www.woodenpropeller.com/MWPSensenich.html), there were occasionally other models built under the same Type Certificates but not listed as such.

Value depends on condition, and we'd definitely need a photo to begin to guess at that.
