Probably Blackburn B2 Trainer and Tourer. See this list (http://www.woodenpropeller.com/Britishprops.htm).

Hi Dave,
Thank you for the quick response, I appreciate it.
I did check the list before I placed the request for help, I can identify the Gipsy 3 but maybe there are other options/ possibilities?
Any other thoughts anyone?
The bore on the hub is 68 mm, as I understand it this is 72 mm on the DH82 for instance.
Is 68 mm an indication for use on the blackburn B2 or am I on the wrong track with this.
I appreciate any other input/ reaction/ suggestion.
Regards,
Peter- Netherlands.

Well, ALL of the E 860 drawing numbers are for the Blackburn 2, so I think it's highly probable that it's the only application. If we had the hub dimensions for the Gipsy III engine you could confirm the bore size as being correct, but those dimensions aren't provided in the data sheet.

O.K Dave, understood thanks.
So the prop is manufactured between 1932 and 1942 ( operational lifetime of the Blackburn B2)
Any idea of the estimated value of this prop in good condition?
Regards,
Peter

Bob Gardner is probably a better authority on value, but no one can judge value based on a single photo of the hub.

Good morning Dave,
Thanks again for your response, as recently retired aircraft and helicopter engineer I already feel among friends at this wonderful forum!
I have more good pictures of this prop which in my opinion is still in an airworthy condition.
Can you advise me how to reach Bob?
Regards,
Peter.

He helps moderate this forum and checks in from time to time. (We like to "store" discussions here when feasible, rather than email.) You could also reach him through his web site, www.aeroclocks.com (http://www.aeroclocks.com).
