  • Heine 4-blade prop

Hi everyone, I got an Heine 4- blade prop with following markings:

    Motor (engine) BMW X
    Durchmesser (Dia.) 1050mm
    Steig. b. 0,7r: 1630
    S/N: 69183

Can anyone tell me more about this prob and how much it is worth?

    Thanks for the help!

I think it's probably either an auxiliary prop or possibly even a test club, used for running engines on a test stand. The decals suggest a post-WW1 manufacture.

      Thank you for the info.

You know, what typ of engine a BMW X is?

No, I don't, but it's conceivable that your prop was indeed a test club and that all BMWs used an identical hub, in which case the "X" might mean that it could be used to test any BMW engine.

An "X" has also been used as a stamping on some propellers to indicate "Experimental".
