Hey..new member here. I am posting photos of this prop. I have no clue what it is.

It has NO bolt holes?

It measures 8 feet 3 inches from tip to tip

The only number/marking I see is shown in the photos. It is *411*

Any help would be appreciated.

That's almost certainly a "toothpick" style propeller designed for an OX5 engine and likely (but by no means certainly) used on a JN4 "Jenny" airplane. It was probably rejected during the manufacturing process so the hub was not fully drilled and no further information (other than a production number) were stamped on the hub.

Here's (http://woodenpropeller.com/JN4toothpick.html) an identical design with a photo of one on a JN4.

Dave..thank you very much. I always had some idea it was for the JN4.

I was planning to refinish as it has been pretty beaten up over the years. So I suppose I need to find out what the finish was for that propeller.

I only plan to use as a display in the house.

You're much better off leaving it the way it is. If you want a refinished one you can find those on eBay and re-refinish it if you like. See this thread (http://woodenpropeller.com/forumvB/showthread.php?t=674).

I guess I will just clean it up then. So you think I should leave it as is.

Works for me.
