Can anyone help me identify this propeller.

It is just over 8ft

Wooden dowels

Mahogany (i think) although it's not as heavy as you would think.

Impossible. All we can see is a portion of the hub. You'd need identification stampings for starters, and a photo of the entire prop might help at least eliminate some possibilities.

Many propellers look similar (like tires on a car) but are distinctly different from each other.

I thought the hub was the main identifying part.

There are no markings impressed whatsoever, I have looked all around the hub and the wing.

Here are all the photo's I have. I assume it is a "real" propeller from the witness marks inside the hub, but please tell me what you think.

Greetings Henry,

The dowelling on the blades is a British technique used only from c1914 to c1917. The shape of the blade is reminiscent of the design team of the Air Dept of the Royal Naval Air Service. But this is only supposition on my part.

It's a nice thing. Look after it.
